Circular Pitch (CP) Weekly
The diameter of the gear index circle diameter d can be expressed by the modulus (m), the diameter (DP) or the circumference (CP) and the number of teeth (z).
Diameter P (DP) refers to the number of teeth per inch in terms of the diameter of the gear circle (in inches)
The diameter section has a relationship with the modulus: m=25.4/DP
CP1/8' mode = 25.4/DP8 = 3.175 3.175 / 3.1416 (Ï€) = 1.0106 mm mode
Conditions: cylindrical straight teeth, standard tooth profile, standard mounting
[1] : Calculate the gear index circle diameter
4*20=80
[2] : The index circle coincides with the pitch circle due to the standard installation
Calculate the pitch circle radius = 80/2=40
[3] : Calculation center distance from the top of the ruler
Distance = pitch circle radius - modulus * 1.0
= 40-4*1
= 36
[4] : Calculation center distance to the root distance
Distance = pitch circle radius + modulus * 1.25
= 40 + 4*1.25
= 45
