Coperion and Coperion K-Tron, based in Stuttgart, Germany, will present their range of plastics processing products at this year's Fakuma show, which will effectively add bulk materials to the composite process. From October 16th to 20th, at the exhibition held in Friedrichshafen, Germany, the two companies will exhibit their products at booth 6406 in Hall A6.
A Coperion ZS-B side feeder will be on display. The feeder is used to feed the raw materials into the extrusion process, and the patented feed enhancement technology is used to increase the feed capacity of the limited feed product during processing by more than three times, thereby enhancing the production capacity.
Coperion will present an innovative feeding technology system at Fakuma
The ZS-B twin-screw side feeder reliably feeds powdered or granulated fillers and additives and cuts the glass fibers into the process section of a twin-screw extruder. The twin-screw is self-cleaning and due to its compact size, the system requires very little space.
Coperion K-Tron will showcase its electronic pressure compensation system (EPC) for its high precision, loss-in-weight feeders. Compared with the traditional mechanical pressure compensation system, the main advantages of the new system are improved accuracy and reliability, lower initial cost and easier installation.
CoperionK-Tron proposes a smart but simple electronic solution to ensure accurate and stable pressure replenishment of the feeder hopper and outlet. The modular design, combined with pressure sensors and electronic customization, interacts smoothly with Coperion K-Tron's KCM feed control system. Existing feeders can also be retrofitted and the EPC can be installed on most Coperion K-Tron loss-in-weight feeders.
