KEYENCE launches new image recognition sensor for stable detection

KEYENCE's popular image recognition sensor family has added a new member, the IV-H series. This new IV-H series of image recognition sensors enhances the stability and functionality of visual inspection.

The new IV-H series is available in two models: IV-H and IV-HG. Available in both color and black and white. The IV Series Image Recognition Sensors are designed to handle difficult detection applications with ease. For applications where multiple parts are to be tested, Keyence image recognition sensors are often able to replace multiple sensors in an all-in-one solution. The new IV-H models offer greater stability and versatility, with new tools added. The three tools on the previous model still maintain a high frequency of use: contour tools for shape and pattern detection; area tools for color and luminance detection; position correction tools for correcting positional offsets; Keyence extensions A new IV-H model tool. These new tools increase detection stability and increase the number of IV applications. In addition to the three tools in the earlier models, the IV-H includes the following new tools: Width/Height Detection, Diameter Detection, Edge Presence Verification, Edge Pixel Tools (for inspection/polishing).

Often, visual software can be cumbersome and difficult to use. To set up a new project in the IV software, the user only has to complete four steps. The tools are simple and intuitive, and operators with different visual software operating capabilities can set up the project in about a minute. The IV Series Image Recognition Sensors are easily networked via the Ethernet/IP and Profinet Communication Setup Wizard.
