In the electrostatic spraying, it is always desirable to perform the high electrostatic field voltage, so that the spraying efficiency is high, that is, the deposition rate of the paint is high, but it cannot be too high, especially when the distance between the gun and the part is too short, spark discharge is easily generated to generate a spark discharge. The voltage at the time is called the breakdown voltage. It not only affects the quality of the spraying, but also easily causes fire. If the voltage is too low, the corona discharge and ionization zone cannot be formed between the spray gun and the parts, so that the chargeability of paint particles is not good, and the quality and effect of spraying are affected.
The electrostatic spraying voltage is also closely related to the spray pattern formed on the surface of the part. When the electrostatic spray gun adopts the rotary cup type, under the condition that the distance between the spray gun and the parts, the rotational speed of the rotary cup, the amount of the paint conveyed, and the viscosity of the paint remain unchanged, the voltage and the spray pattern formed on the surface of the part show a non-linear relationship. It is generally required that the spray pattern formed has a large outside diameter and the inside diameter of the "hollow" portion is small. Pragmatism according to theory, the actual experience gained in production, the general voltage should take 60 ~ 100kv.
