2015 China Hardware Tool Industry Operation

From January to December 2015, the total revenue from the main business of the national hardware industry increased by 5.78% year-on-year, and the growth rate continued to decline, which was a decrease of 0.48 percentage points from November. In 2015, the hardware industry stepped out of the quarterly rising trend of main business income, and the quarterly last quarter of each quarter was the highest in the quarter. In the first half of the year, the main business income increased by 1.8% year-on-year, and the growth rate of main business income increased from the previous month's negative number to positive growth.

From the perspective of the type of business registration, the main business of domestic-funded enterprises occupies an absolute advantage, and 75.61% of the main business income comes from domestic-funded enterprises, which represents an increase of 0.11 percentage points from the previous month, and the growth rate is higher than the industry average. From January to December of 2015, in the national hardware industry, domestically-funded enterprises completed an increase of 7.24% in total main business income; Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwanese investment companies completed a cumulative increase in main business income by 0.8%; foreign-invested enterprises completed cumulative masterships. Business income from operations increased by 2.26% year-on-year.

In terms of the size of the company, the proportion of small and medium-sized companies is relatively high, accounting for 61.49% and 28.45%, respectively. The growth rate of large-scale enterprises is the highest, and both small- and medium-sized enterprises exceed the industry average. The company’s major business revenues for all scales have achieved positive growth this month. From January to December 2015, small businesses completed an increase of 6.22% in the cumulative main business revenue; medium-sized companies completed a cumulative increase of 4.28% in the main business income; major enterprises completed a total of 7.45% of their main business revenues.

From January to December 2015, the total main business income for the construction and safety use of metal products increased by 6.36% year-on-year, and that for metal daily necessities manufacturing increased 7.25% year-on-year; metal packaging containers were manufactured. Accumulated main business income increased by 4.66% year-on-year; accumulated principal business income from the manufacturing of hand tools, agricultural gardens, and daily metal tools increased by 2.99% year-on-year; cumulative main business income from enamel-ware manufacturing completed increased by 1.68% year-on-year. In December, all hardware sub-industries maintained positive growth, among which, the enamel products industry saw the lowest growth rate of 1.7%; the metal daily-use products manufacturing industry had the highest growth rate of 7.2%, together with the construction and safety metal product manufacturing industries. The growth rate exceeded the industry average.

From January to December of 2015, the production areas where the main business income of the national hardware industry is relatively high are mainly concentrated in Guangdong, Zhejiang, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Fujian, Henan, Hunan, Jiangxi and Hubei. The revenue from main operations of the ten regions accounted for 84.53% of the country's total, accounting for a slight increase of 0.37 percentage points compared with November 2015. The main business income of the key production areas accounted for a relatively high proportion.

From January to December in Fujian Province, total revenue from main operations increased by 18.06% year-on-year, again becoming the fastest-growing region in the top ten producing areas. Of the ten regions, except for the negative growth in the Zhejiang region, other regions have maintained positive growth. In all regions, the growth rates in Henan, Jiangxi, and Hubei are relatively high, both exceeding 10%.
