Anti-static overalls are work clothes that are made by using anti-static fabrics for fabrics to prevent static electricity from accumulating.
First, anti-static fabric
There are many varieties of anti-static fabrics, which can be summed up in three general types:
The first is the use of antistatic agents for resin finishing of fabrics, which are attached to the surface of synthetic fabrics after padding and baking, so that the fabrics have a certain antistatic effect. This method is now only used for civilian clothing to overcome the static phenomenon of clothes, spark discharge, pollution and ash absorption.
The second is to add an antistatic agent to the interior of the polyester or nylon polymer, such as a surfactant such as a phosphate or sulfonate, or introduce a third monomer to obtain a durable antistatic fiber. Since most of the additive's antistatic agents are surfactants that react or decompose in the presence of alkali, do not use alkaline detergents during fabric finishing or washing to prevent the effect of antistatic effects. Such fibers are suitable for use as clean clothes. , aseptic clothing, can also be used for civilian clothing.
The third type is the incorporation of conductive fibers into ordinary fabrics. This type of anti-static fabric is generally accepted and accepted because it is not affected by the environment. The antistatic property of this antistatic fabric, the type of conductive fiber, and the division of the conductive components (metal, graphite, carbon black, etc.) in the fiber are classified into a uniform conductive component, a conductive component, and a conductive component. There are four types of mixed with conductive components. Other composite conductive fibers containing carbon black, graphite, and other conductive components can be directly used for weaving filaments, and a very good resistance can be obtained by embedding a conductive filament at regular intervals (e.g., about 1.5 cm) in warp yarns. The electrostatic effect is the best conductive fiber currently used for weaving anti-static clothing fabrics.
Second, product classification
Anti-static overalls can be divided into A-level and B-level according to the different washing time. Among them, the washing time of Class A should be ≥ 33.0 h, and the washing time of Class B should be ≥ 16.0 h.
Third, the main technical performance of anti-static overalls
Anti-static overalls must be produced according to national standards. The current effective national standard is GB 12014-1989 "Electrostatic Workwear". The main technical requirement of anti-static overalls is anti-static performance, that is, the amount of charged charge of each anti-static clothing. This requirement is directly related to the protective performance of the product. In addition, the breaking strength of the joints, the strength of the metal attachments, and the breaking strength of the lining and the clothing are the technical indicators that affect the wearing and antistatic effects of the clothing.
Fourth, how to choose anti-static overalls
1, the structure requirements
(1) Easy to wear, comfortable, easy to release, and beneficial to human activities.
(2) Metal attachments are generally not allowed on clothing and must be used (buttons, zippers, etc.). When worn, metal attachments must not be exposed.
(3) All anti-static fabrics should be used in clothing and no lining should be used. When linings (clothes, reinforcements, etc.) must be used, the exposed area of the lining shall be less than 20% of the exposed area of the inner surface of all anti-static overalls; if it exceeds 20% (such as cold clothes or special clothing), the mask and lining shall be made available. Detachable.
2, style requirements
The overall work clothes are generally "three-tight", and the bottoms are straight pants; or "three-tight" jumpsuits.
V. Use and precautions
1. Under normal circumstances, explosive gas mixtures are frequently and frequently used for a short period of time or are prolonged, and locations where explosive gas mixtures are likely to occur. When the minimum ignition energy of combustibles is below 0.25 mJ, they should be worn. Use anti-static overalls.
2. It is forbidden to wear anti-static overalls in flammable and explosive places.
3. It is forbidden to attach or wear any metal objects on antistatic overalls.
4, when wearing anti-static overalls, it should also be used in conjunction with anti-static shoes, while the ground should also be conductive floor.
5, anti-static overalls should be kept clean, to maintain anti-static properties, after use with a soft brush, soft cloth dipped in neutral detergent, can not damage the fiber material.
6. After wearing for a period of time, you should inspect the anti-static clothing. If the electrostatic properties do not meet the standard requirements, you can no longer use anti-static overalls.
