A brief history of valve development

The valve is created as a fluid line is created. Humans have used valves for nearly 4,000 years. When ancient China used salt water to absorb salt from salt wells, it used cork valves in bamboo pipes. In 1800 BC, when ancient Egyptians built large-scale water conservancy to prevent the flooding of the Nile, similar wooden cocks were used to control the distribution of water flow. These are the prototypes of the valve. The large number of applications for industrial valves began after Watt invented the steam engine. At the beginning of the 20th century, valves of various materials such as cast iron, cast steel, forged steel, stainless steel, chrome molybdenum steel, brass, ductile iron and the like appeared. Used in various industries, various industrial and mining. There are not many companies that have introduced foreign valve production technology at the earliest, and later introduced foreign production technology, which has made domestic valve production technology breakthrough, quality improvement and longevity.

From January to December 2009, the country produced a total of 4,583,935.72 tons of valves, an increase of 3.74% over 2008. From January to December 2010, China's valve production totaled 5,390,394.75 tons; from January to December 2011, China's valve production was 5,958,729.61 Tons; China's valve production in January-April 2012 reached 2,041,987.98 tons.

The strong demand for the valve product market, the state-owned economy continued to develop steadily, and fixed asset investment gradually expanded. In particular, the construction of several projects such as “West-East Gas Transmission”, “West-to-East Power Transmission” and “South-to-North Water Transfer” requires a large number of valve products. In addition, China is facing the arrival of the industrialization era, the petrochemical industry and the power sector. Larger valves, metallurgical departments, chemical industry and urban construction will increase the demand for valve products.
