Maintain consistency of data in the standard parts library and reduce development effort

Server Design In order to share standard part data, the system stores all standard part data on the server side. Two servers, a database server and a file server are placed on the server side. The geometric and non-geometric information of the standard parts are placed in the database server, and the preview images of the template files and parts are placed on the Ftp file server. This configuration method not only reduces the burden on the database but also improves the stability of the system.

The client can gain access to the database server and file server only through confirmation of the server component. The design of the server enables each CAD platform to achieve shared data resources, maintains the consistency of standard part data in the standard parts library, and reduces the development workload. The client design client program adopts the method of secondary development of UG. The functions are divided into four modules: user management, database building wizard, management tool, and call wizard. User management is responsible for managing users with different permissions. Functions include adding, deleting users, changing passwords, and so on.

The database creation wizard is responsible for creating a table structure of the part in the database, adding the geometry of the part, non-geometric information, and uploading the template file and preview image to the server. The management tool provides operations on the database server and file server to implement all operations such as adding, modifying, and deleting part data and part models. The call wizard implements the call to the part.
