Nand Logic smart helmet wants to wear it safely

Nand Logic's smart helmets may be the product that currently packs the largest number of electronic components in a single helmet. Although it is designed for people who love extreme sports, such as motocross, mountain biking or skiing, others who don't participate in such sports may eventually want to wear this helmet even if they just Walking in the street.

The Nand Logic Smart Helmet is still in the prototype stage, and the various electronic devices deployed in the Smart Helmet rely on a SoC to run. It integrates accelerometers, gyroscopes, ambient light sensors, Bluetooth modules and GPS modules, plus temperature and humidity sensors.

Like the Forcite Alpine ski helmet, Nand Logic features a front-facing HD camera that can be used to record images from the first person. There is also a rear camera and the second camera cannot be used in real time rear view systems.

Using the object tracking algorithm, two cameras can be used to observe traffic conditions in other directions around the user. If the software detects an impending collision, it will sound an audible alarm through the helmet's stereo speakers. On the final product, they also intend to use LEDs to display a light visual warning system in the user's residual light.

Using GPS, accelerometers and gyroscopes, the helmet is able to determine its position in three dimensions. This allows it to activate the built-in turn signal and brake light when the user is turning or slowing down. In addition, the ambient light sensor determines if the exterior becomes very dark, allowing the helmet to know when it is time to turn on its built-in LED headlights.
