Tianjin Steel Strand Construction and Classification Tianjin Steel Strand, also known as steel wire rope, is the main rope for lifting operations. 3021 (Phenolic paper laminated sheet)
3021 is called phenolic paper Laminated Sheet. A hard, dense material made by applying heat and pressure to layers of paper or glass cloth impregnated with phenolic resin. These layers of laminations are usually of cellulose paper, cotton fabrics, synthetic yarn fabrics, glass fabrics or unwoven fabrics. When heat and pressure are applied to the layers, a chemical reaction (polymerization) transforms the layers into a high-pressure thermosetting industrial laminated plastic.

The Tianjin steel strand is made of specially treated steel wire. The commonly used steel strand is made up of six bundles of strands and one rope core (generally hemp core), as shown in the following figure, according to its structure. Different from the manufacturing process, the steel strand has the following classification:
1. According to the different methods of Tianjin steel strand clamping, it can be divided into three types: directional, interactive and mixed. Cranes are commonly used in 6*19+1, 6*37+1 and 6*61+1. In the case of the same rope diameter, the steel wire with a small number of wires per strand is thicker, and the wear resistance is good, but the bending property is good. Poor; the wire with a large number of wires per strand is thinner and therefore softer, but the wear resistance is worse.
