Demand for ethanol in Thailand is still rising in 2011

There is a large demand for ethanol gasoline, which is cheaper than gasoline.

Taihua Farmers Research Center expects that ethanol use will reach about 1.9 million to 2 million liters per day in 2011, which is higher than the average level of about 1.1 to 1.2 million liters per day in 2010. However, in 2011, the ethanol manufacturing industry will face major problems and obstacles because crops such as cassava and bagasse, which are the main raw materials for ethanol production, will be greatly reduced due to natural disasters, diseases and insect pests, or the prices of raw materials for ethanol, such as cassava and bagasse, will increase. The cost of ethanol production will eventually rise.
