On June 14, the School of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences of Wuhan University made new progress in the field of nanoporous filter membranes, and the latest research results were published in Science. Nanoporous two-dimensional materials with a single atomic layer thickness are ideal materials for constructing ultra-thin, efficient separation membranes. However, the application of two-dimensional materials with thick atomic layers to practical separation research faces two difficulties: one is how to prepare a large-area crack-free nanoporous two-dimensional thin film with excellent mechanical strength and flexibility; the second is how to introduce high The sub-nanopores with uniform density and pore size distribution realize the efficient selective passage of water molecules and the effective interception of solute molecules. This study reported for the first time a large-area graphene nanosieve / carbon nanotube film with excellent mechanical properties, high water permeability, ion and molecular rejection, and excellent anti-pollution properties. This research overcomes the limitations of two-dimensional materials in the field of actual separation, and is a key step in the promotion of two-dimensional materials to practical separation applications. It has achieved an important breakthrough in the development of two-dimensional materials and carbon nanomaterials. The research was also supported by the National Key R & D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology "Nano Science and Technology" key special youth project (2017YFA0208000), the National Natural Science Foundation of China (21675120), the Central Organization Department "Ten Thousand People Program" Youth Top Talent Support Program stand by.
