With the development of the market, in order to better enter the Mexican market and expand its market share throughout the Americas, Japan Toray Group has announced that it has begun construction of an engineering plastics mixture production plant in Mexico.
It is reported that the plant PA and PBT mixture with the capacity of TRMX has a capacity of 10,000 tons/year and is scheduled to be put into operation in February 2015. By then, Toray Engineering in the Americas plastic mixture production capacity will increase to 34,000 tons / year.
The new plant is located in the industrial park of Zolteck Companies. The large Mexican carbon fiber production company was successfully acquired by Toray at the beginning of this year.

Thanks to its relaxed free trade environment and excellent geographical advantages, Mexico has been an important export base for the United States and other countries in the Americas for many years. Since 2010, the Mexican automotive industry has grown rapidly. The industry is expected to continue to grow at an alarming rate in the coming years.
As global auto parts manufacturers (the company's major customers of engineering plastics) have opened the door to the Mexican market, Toray believes that local production is necessary here. Toray executives said that by building their own factories, their supply chain in the Americas will be further expanded and their ability to serve customers will be further enhanced.
TRMX is the 11th engineering plastics mixture production base established by Toray. In addition to Mexico, the company has production facilities in Japan, China (Shenzhen, Suzhou, Tianjin, Chengdu), Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the United States, and South Korea.
