Bionic oil drill bit was born in Zhongyuan Oilfield

On June 16th, good news came from Zhongyuan Oilfield. The world's first 241.3mm bionic oil drill bit with independent intellectual property rights was born, marking a major breakthrough in the development of China's bionic oil drill bit.

The development of bionic drill bit is based on the bionic non-smooth theory. From the perspective of bionic engineering, a new rock-breaking tool capable of breaking rock and ensuring life is developed, which provides hard and strong abrasive formation drilling for oil and gas wells. An effective new rock breaking technology.

At the end of 2006, Dr. Gao Ke, a postdoctoral research station of the Zhongyuan Oilfield (Drilling and Control Engineering Division), took on the task of solving this problem. He sought solutions from the natural world, applied the bionic non-smooth theory and the self-regeneration concept to the rock-breaking drill bit, and developed the bionic drill according to the study of the lithology characteristics of the Xujiahe Formation in the northeastern Sichuan Basin. After two and a half years of hard work, Dr. Gao Ke and his team successfully completed the development of the 241.3mm biomimetic drill at the Zhongyuan Oilfield Drilling and Pipe Engineering Office on June 16.
