The National High-level Forum on the Reform and Development of Non-ferrous Metal Geological Exploration Industry was held

On August 12, the National High-Level Forum on the Reform and Development of Non-ferrous Metals Geological Exploration Industry was held in Xining. More than 130 representatives from the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, the State Council Development Research Center, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Tianjin, Jiangxi, Gansu and other provinces (municipalities) autonomous geological exploration bureaus gathered together to discuss the reform and development of non-ferrous metal geological exploration. The geological prospecting industry is a pioneering and basic industry in the country's economic and social development. Over the years, the non-ferrous geological exploration industry has discovered a large amount of mineral reserves, discovered and explored a large number of world-class super-large deposits, which not only made a group of old mines rejuvenate, but also provided a large number of new important mineral resources bases. The need for the production and construction of non-ferrous metals industry has created huge potential economic value. From January to June this year, the output of ten non-ferrous metals in the country was 16.55 million tons, an increase of 7.3% year-on-year; 7975 non-ferrous metal industrial enterprises above designated size achieved a main business income of 1.80 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 39%. The realized profit was 83.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 55%, and the growth rate was 26.5 percentage points higher than that of the national industrial enterprises in the same period.

In his speech, Luo Yulin briefly introduced the basic situation of the province and the development of mineral resources. He said that in recent years, the Party Central Committee and the State Council have attached great importance to the exploration and development of Qinghai's mineral resources, and have launched the Qinghai-Tibet by accelerating the exploration and development of Qinghai's mineral resources and achieving new breakthroughs in the development of the western region and solving the short-term and scarce resources of the country. Special survey and evaluation of highland geological minerals to accelerate the geological exploration process in Qinghai. During the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period, the province has arranged 1,230 geological exploration projects (times), invested 3.41 billion yuan, and newly discovered 17 mineral deposits; added a batch of coal, iron ore, copper, lead, zinc and gold. The resources such as silver and silver provide a strong resource support for the economic and social development of the province.

Luo Yulin said that at present, with the rapid development of China's economy and society, the consumption and demand of mineral resources will enter a period of sustained high growth, the contradiction between supply and demand will become increasingly prominent, and the task of doing a good job in geological exploration will be more urgent. As an annual event for the non-ferrous metals industry, this forum is both an opportunity for learning and exchange and a platform for strengthening cooperation. I hope that the province's geological prospecting industry takes this forum as an opportunity to learn from and draw on the successful experiences and practices of geological exploration work in the provinces and provinces, continuously promote reform and innovation, increase efforts, improve the overall competitiveness of the non-ferrous geological exploration system, and find more mines.
