The total installed capacity of the largest offshore wind farm in China reached 131.3MW

Longyuan Power (Group) Co., Ltd. announced in Beijing recently that its first stage project of Jiangsu Rudong 150MW offshore (inter-tidal zone) demonstration wind farm was 99.3 MW. Together with the Rudong 32MW (tidal zone) test wind farm that was put into production earlier, Longyuan Power built a nationwide largest offshore wind farm with a total installed capacity of 131.3 MW in Rudong County.

According to statistics, according to the current production capacity, the annual on-grid capacity of Longyuan Power's offshore (inter-tidal) wind farms is approximately 330 million kilowatt-hours, annual savings of 97,000 tons of standard coal, carbon dioxide emission reduction of 267,000 tons, and emission reduction dioxide*1940. Tons, saving 940,000 tons of water.

Longyuan Jiangsu General Manager of Marine Co., Ltd. said that the first stage project of the Longyuan Rudong 150MW offshore (tidal zone) demonstration wind farm project had a capacity of 99.3 megawatts to begin construction on June 21, 2011. At present, 38 sets of wind turbines have been hoisted, of which 17 sets are based on a single pile foundation and 21 sets are based on multiple piles. It is expected that the project construction will be completed by the end of March this year.

“China's offshore wind power resources are very abundant, and the offshore shallow water resources can be exploited in an amount of about 200 million kilowatts. Offshore wind power is undoubtedly an important direction for the development of wind power in China in the future.” Xie Changjun, general manager of Longyuan Power, told reporters that Longyuan Power was first involved in offshore wind power. In the field, especially in the construction of the 150MW offshore (intertidal zone) demonstration wind farm project in Rudong, it has explored and accumulated rich experience in the construction and management of offshore wind power, and trained a team of employees who are united and cooperative and dare to fight hard for follow-up work. Scale development of offshore wind power has laid a solid foundation.
