Morphological properties

Leaves opposite, maximal, ovate or elliptic, densely pubescently pubescent. The panicles are broad, flowering in autumn, white in flowers and aromatic. The world's precious timber species; the teak leaves are smashed by hand, the blood red stains the colored fingers, and it is difficult to wash at a time, so it is called the rouge or the blood tree. Suitable growth temperature: absolute maximum temperature of 43-48 ° C and absolute minimum temperature of 2 ° C.

Nature: Teak has a golden luster, which is best made in Thailand. The teak is oily and bright, with uniform color and straight texture. The bark is 0.5~1.0cm thick, soft and easy to peel off. The outer skin is taupe; it is easy to flake off. Endothelial reddish brown; bast fiber developed, layered. The cross section of the heart and sapwood is distinct. It is the smallest deformation coefficient in wood and has good bending resistance. Wear-resistant, air dry density is 0.58~0.67g/cm3. It is not easy to warp and crack under the condition of large change of dryness and wetness in sun, rain and rain; it is resistant to water and fire; it is resistant to termites and sea worms in different sea areas, and it is extremely resistant to corrosion. It has good drying performance, good adhesiveness, paint and waxing performance. Because it is easy to blunt with silicon, it is necessary to wear a mask to prevent the silicon-containing powder from entering the lungs and causing silicosis.
